Did you know that the largest crocodile in the world named "Lolong" came from the Philippines and ate people? Roald Dahl's The Enormous Crocodile is all about a large and nasty crocodile that lived in a swamp in Africa. The crocodile wants to eat the children of a nearby town. He has devised a few tricks up his sleeve to eat some of these children. Who can stop this green fiend from doing these horrible feats?
The part that I liked most in the story is when the bird in the story had mistakenly thought that berries was what the crocodile's food would be. I liked that part because it was comical. This book can make kids want to do more research on crocodiles. Kids will be pleased to be telling their parents about all the facts about crocodiles. I suggest that you visit the website "factanimal.com" to learn more about crocodiles and other beasts.
I suggest this book to kids ages 6-8. I recommend this book to these specific ages because it is very hilarious. It can also boost a kid's imagination and creativity. The book has very colorful drawings. It is suitable for kids who don't have anything do for their spare time and might as well kill their time by reading. Kids will be attracted to read this book, for I assure you, the colorful world of the Enormous Crocodile will always be bright!
