     "My heart is ready, Father, My heart is ready." -Jesus , as quoted from the movie "The Passion of The Christ".

      When you ask most people if they have heard of the story of Jesus dying on the cross, there is a big chance that most of them knew the story. Same as those who already knew Jesus' story on the cross, I too knew the story very well! Ever since I was small I am expose to the story how Jesus died on the cross as it was usually a part of our conversations in our family especially during Lenten Season. Also, at school I do have a subject that teaches me all about Jesus, His works and His teachings. And lastly, in my Kid's Church, our pastor would every now and then preach about Jesus' sacrifice. All the while, my young mind thought it was a simple story that God sent Jesus to die on the cross to save us all. I didn't see the magnitude of Jesus' sacrifice of dying on the cross for me to be saved. However, my perspective of Jesus' sacrifice and love for me totally changed after watching the movie "The Passion of the Christ". 

  Watching the movie utterly broke my heart, seeing Jesus suffering those torturous moments of being beaten and tormented mercilessly. Being mocked, falsely accused, and shamed by people whom He once helped  was unbearably painful. Lastly, being betrayed by those whom He once called His friends was saddening to witness. What Jesus endured all throughout made me realize that His sacrifice was not as simple than I had expected it to be.

      Jesus thru His sacrifice had shown me the utmost love He had for all of us. He did whatever it takes to give us the hope of eternal life. Going behind the scenes of Jesus' death on the cross made me appreciate the value of what Jesus did for me at the cross.

     At the Cross, Jesus loved me even if I didn't deserved to be loved.

     At the Cross, Jesus found me when I felt lost.

     At the Cross, Jesus forgave me even if I failed Him.

     At the Cross, Jesus paid the ultimate price to show how valuable I am to Him.

     At the Cross, Jesus reminds me of who I am to HIM!
