Getting Up

Do you have an experience that you fell down on the floor or tripped? I had. Me, my brother, and my mom were going to fetch our dad's bike. It was my turn to ride the bike home. When I started biking away to nearest pathway to get out of the bike parking place, I wasn't looking and my bike went into the sewage path. I fell to the ground, getting a few cuts. But, God saved me from having a head injury because my head landed on grass. Too bad I didn't get back up. I just lay there for a while. My mom also got lots of experiences of falling or tripping. One experience was that she fell from the stairs of her house when she was small. The difference from my fall and her fall was that my mom got up quickly and pretended that nothing happened.
Like that experience, we might not want to get up and face the situations and problems that are around us. We might feel like that we don't have the power to face these situations in our lives. But, we ask God for help for God has the power to make the weak strong and the ill healthy. We can always rely on God to help us in our problems. Except, we also have to do our part to remove the situations that face us. We have to be brave and stand and up against the problems. If we fall, we have to get up again. So remember, if you encounter a problem in your life, ask God for strength and whenever you fall, get up and face that problem.

Prayer
Lord
Help me in the situations that are happening in my life. Give me the strength I need to face these problems and let me remember that I can always rely on you. Help me remember Lord to always do my part to remove the situations. Thank you Lord, in Jesus name, I pray, Amen.

He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

Great Gifts come with Great Responsibility

“Our talents are the gift that God gives to us... What we make of our talents is our gift back to God” -Leo Buscaglia.

We always love the gifts that we receive at Christmas. However, will we take care of the gifts that we receive? I had a story about a laptop that my uncle gave me. I was just using the laptop to do something, then I was going to the living room to do something. But then I tripped on the charger of my uncle's computer! The computer hit the floor and I was really scared, will it ever work again? My dad looked at the computer and did something to fix the laptop!

I was really relieved that the laptop was fixed, it would have been really sad to me if the laptop was broken. This story shows that you need to be careful of how you handle the gifts that your relatives and God has sent you. One example of God's gifts were the talents that he had gave you. If you just wanted to hide the gift that God has given you, then it would just be a waste. My dad and mom once told me when I was scared to play the piano in public that if I didn't want to show my gifts to the world, what would be the use of it? Be really thankful to God that he has given you some wonderful gifts in your life!

Prayer
Lord,
I thank you for the awesome gifts that you had given me in my life. Let me do my best to show my gifts to the world so I could give back to you my appreciation of those gifts. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.

Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.
